At a glance: Dino Parc Râșnov is an outdoor dinosaur trail and museum on Strada Cetății, close to Râșnov Fortress in Brașov County. The operator currently lists 130+ life-size reconstructions, an included Forest Museum and family activities. Plan for about 2–4 hours, comfortable shoes and weather that can change your outdoor visit. The prices and seasonal hours below were checked against the park’s official website in October 2026; confirm the day’s schedule before setting out.

What you will find

The park covers about four hectares on a wooded slope near the fortress. A forest path passes life-size dinosaur and prehistoric-animal reconstructions, including animatronic models that move or make sounds. Interpretive displays make the visit useful for adults as well as children, and the park’s Romanian highlights include Hatzegopteryx thambema, a giant flying reptile discovered in the Hațeg area, and a 45-metre Seismosaurus reconstruction.

The main admission also includes the Forest Museum, with more than 1,300 natural-history exhibits, the tree-house exhibitions, playgrounds, an interactive volcano and a seismic platform. Extra attractions such as the adventure routes, 9D Cinema, Dino Train, Laser Maze and Dino Art are paid separately. Availability can vary with weather, maintenance and the day’s operating conditions, so decide on extras after checking what is running.

Tickets and opening hours

The official English visit page currently lists adult admission at 60 lei, children aged 3–18 at 40 lei, and free entry for children under 3. Visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person are listed as free with valid supporting documentation. The operator recommends online tickets for weekends, school holidays and other busy dates. Check the ticket page for the exact date, current conditions and any special event changes.

Seasonal hours currently published by the park are:

  • April–October: Monday–Thursday 10:00–18:00; Friday 10:00–18:30; Saturday 10:00–19:00; Sunday 10:00–18:30.
  • November–March: Monday–Thursday 10:00–17:00; Friday 10:00–17:30; Saturday 10:00–18:00; Sunday 10:00–17:30.

Public holidays, special events and operational conditions may change the schedule. The operator’s Romanian activities page currently lists individual add-on prices such as 15 lei per adventure-route run, 15 lei per 9D film, 15 lei per Dino Train ride, 10 lei per Laser Maze turn and 8–50 lei for Dino Art, depending on the activity. Recheck these rates at the official page or ticket desk because they can change.

How to plan your visit

Most families spend two to four hours on the main visit. Arriving near opening time leaves more room for the trail, museum, play areas and a break without rushing. If you want several paid experiences, add extra time and budget. Wear shoes with grip: the route is outdoors, wooded and can be sloped or muddy after rain. Bring a light waterproof layer and check the forecast. The park notes that weather or maintenance can affect some attractions.

For younger children, walk the dinosaur trail at their pace and use the play areas as breaks. Agree a meeting point in case anyone becomes separated, supervise children closely and follow the posted rules, particularly in playgrounds and adventure zones. The adventure course has minimum height recommendations: the official activities page currently lists 110 cm for the pink route and 140 cm for the green route. Staff and signs at the park have the final word on participation.

The 9D Cinema is optional and has health and age restrictions. The operator advises against it for children under four, pregnant visitors and people with certain medical conditions; other restrictions also apply. Read the on-site safety information before buying a ticket for any activity.

Getting to the park

The address is Strada Cetății, Râșnov, Brașov County, postal code 505400. The park is near Râșnov Fortress and approximately 15 kilometres from Brașov; the operator estimates a 20–25-minute drive, depending on traffic. Use current navigation and check parking conditions before departure. From Brașov, visitors commonly arrange the trip by car, taxi or a local transfer. Public transport schedules and last-mile connections vary, so verify them for your travel date rather than assuming a direct service.

For an organized school group of more than ten children, the operator currently lists a special rate of 35 lei per child, one free adult for every ten children and a guided visit when booked ahead, subject to guide availability. The park asks groups to arrange their visit at least one week in advance.

Make it a Râșnov and Brașov day

Dino Parc sits beside Râșnov’s historic hilltop setting, making the fortress area a natural addition to a day in town. The fortress itself has had changing access conditions during restoration and maintenance, so confirm its current visitor status and opening information before relying on it as a second stop. If you have more time, Bran Castle and Brașov are other possible excursions in the wider area; travel times depend on traffic, especially on busy weekends.

For a comfortable family plan, focus on Dino Parc in the morning, take a meal break in Râșnov, then add one nearby attraction only if its access is confirmed. A separate day in Brașov is less rushed than trying to combine multiple towns with the park.

Food, accessibility and practical details

The park indicates that food and souvenirs are available on site, but menus, opening and service options may change. If you have dietary needs or are visiting with a large group, contact the park first. Ask in advance about accessible routes and facilities for anyone who needs step-free access: the main experience is an outdoor forest trail and not every slope or attraction will suit every visitor.

Keep to visitor paths, do not climb on the dinosaur models, leave the natural setting undisturbed and follow staff directions. Keep your ticket confirmation and the park’s telephone number handy: +40 741 208 703. The official site lists the address and current visitor information in English and Romanian.
